Senyo-Tsagli Foundation Gives Free Healthcare, NHIS support to Residents of Ngleshie-Amanfrom 

A non-governmental organization, Senyo-Tsagli Foundation on Saturday February 11, 2023 provided free medical screening to over 3,800 residents within Ngleshie-Amanfrom area within the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

In addition to the free medical health screening, about 2,600 residents were also supported to register onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) or renewed to enable them have free access to healthcare services.

The Founder/Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Mr Senyo Tsagli told EXPRESSNEWSGHANA that the foundation was founded to assist the less privileged most of whom are women, indigent children, out-of-school youths and the aged.

He said the foundation since its establishment few years ago had provided a range of medical services free medical evaluation, especially eye, ear, nose, throat screening, general and community level medical consultation on BP, FBS, RBS.

According to him, the medical tea from the 37 Military Hospital in Accra also screen residents on Breast Cancer, HIV, NHIS Registration and Card Renewal, free medications and dispensary, among others for the residents, most of whom were the aged and widows.

Mr Tsagli said it was the objective of the Foundation to ensure that, residents within its operational are provide with the basic healthcare and others to lift them out of the burden that sending them to hospitals where they might not be able to access health services the health facilities cost them.

“Our focus is free health care, the basic need of the people, the elderly or the aged and widows. We have organised several of medical screening in other communities for people and we have given free medication and those with special cases are referred to the hospitals, for we believed that a health body is the bedrock for development of any nation,” the Founder added.

While assuring that the foundation shall keep striving to impact lives through its commitment to health and social sectors as reflected in the foundation’s mission, Mr. Tsagli also urged the residents to take their health issues serious and consult health personnel or visit the nearest health facility whenever they not feeling good.

He acknowledged the support of the Chiefs and people of Ngleshie-Amanfrom, the dedicated medical team and all those work to achieve the target.

The residents were also advised by the medical team to take their diet serious by checking their blood pressure and sugar level regularly and also do exercise once a week if not a day.

Some of the resident expressed gratitude to the Senyo-Tsagli Foundation and its Founder for coming to their aide and providing them with free healthcare services which could have cost them thousands of cedis if they had visited the hospitals.

The Senyo-Tsagli Foundation is committed to providing communities with access to life’s basic needs including healthcare, quality education, community development and other basic human needs at no cost.
