The Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Garu constituency, Dr. Thomas Winsum Anabah, has donated 1160 Mathrmatical setsto the 2023. candidates of the Basic Education Certificate Examination ( BECE).
The mathematical sets were presented to the District Directorate for onwards distribution to the candidates in their respective schools.
About 1147 students from 31 schools in the district, both public and private students who will be sitting for their Basic Education Certificate Exam (BECE) in August are to benefit from the donation.
The donation was made on his behalf by the Constituency Executives, led by Chairman Mr. Thomas Martey Laar.
The District Education Director who received the items, thanked the NDC PC for his kind gesture.
He emphasized that the donation is timely, as the students would be writing their exams in a few weeks’ time.
The Director also praised Dr. Anabah for his support to the district’s education sector, mentioning the donation of classroom furniture to some schools, school bags and other learning materials, linguistics books to assist in the teaching of Kusaal, and the renovation of some schools in the district.
Many of the students expressed gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Anabah for coming to their aid. Without this gesture, many of them would have had to write the exam without a mathematical set.
