The National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi has been slapped with 500 thousand Ghana cedis damages after losing a defamation case with Energy Minister, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempreh.
The judgment which was delivered by Justice Charles Gyamfi Danquah, at the High Court, Today, found that Sammy Gyamfi defamed Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who is also the MP for Manhyia South.
At a press conference in June 2019, Sammy Gyamfi stated that Seidu Yakubu Mba, who is a suspect in a case involving the kidnapping of the 2 Canadian girls is the errand boy of Dr. Opoku Prempeh.
After awarding the damages, the Court also ordered Sammy Gyamfi to publish a retraction and an apology.
